Hello Ladies..

School time is almost here,, Yippeee!
For lots of reasons.. One I can save
on my grocery bill, plus things will
get back to some kinda routine.
Let me share with you what I do
for a living. In 2001 I started a
small home based business called
.Mom's Helper

This is a business that God gave me ,
and it has become my own little
ministry.
What Mom's Helper is,
is that parents hire me for
the school year to pick their
child up from home and take
them to school, and then pick
them up from school and take
them home again..
Over the past 10 years, I have
seen children from all sorts
of backgrounds.. And have
made tons of life long friendships
with these children.. I have 3 kids
that have been with me since
2001, starting in preschool and now
in high school.. But God has
allowed me to use this business
as an ability to plant Seed's.
I only play christian music in
my car.. at first the new kids
complain,, wanting me to turn
on their kind of music,,and the
answer is always no, but after
a few weeks.. i will look in the
review mirror and see them
mouthing the words as they
sing along to a christian song..
And then before you know
it, im picking them up on
Wed evening and giving them
rides to our churches youth
group..The parents may never
lead their children to go to church
but Moms Helper has planted the
little glimmer of light(God) in their
soul.
So I look forward to the beginning
of ever school year and I always
pray that God will send us the
children who may never hear
about God unless they are riding
in the Mom's Helper Van..

So say a prayer for me this year.
And that we will plant many
seeds of God this year...

Karen...thank you so much for stopping by my blog! It, in turn, has led me to your blog....which I really think is going to help me in my new walk with Christ. This post reminds me of my kids. I listen to K-LOVE...all the time! My daughter (who is 8) seems to be hooked on Hip Hop (grrrrr!) Every time we get in the truck, she asks if I can turn the radio to her station. My automatic answer is "NO"! She enjoys K-LOVE, but she would much rather listen to "her: music. I always feel good when she "forgets" about her station and starts singing along with mine.

Hi Karen,
I popped over from Tiffany's place. I love the idea of your mom's helper ministry. Also enjoyed reading your testimony about your marriage.

Wow! I love your real life testimony - it gives me hope. Thanks for being so real and a true light for the rest of us trying to find enough light for the next step in our own marriages.

Your blog is so inspiring. What a blessing for other parents to have a Mom's Helper. May God bless and guide you in that ministry this year.
