To Daytona Beach or Not... that is the Question

Well my husbands "management training" is over,,
And his work sent us yesterday to Daytona Beach..
that is the branch they would like to place him in.
                                                           It is not finalized yet,
due to my lack of wanting to leave my grandkids..
And it is going to be a hard decision.
But what it really comes down to is that I have to go
where my husband feels is best..
I cant let my marriage and my childs life be perminatley effected by
a move that is 2 1/2 hours away..
John went through a very rough time being unemployed
for a couple of years, and he has made his way back,
and this is a good opportunity for us.
And the it is only 2 1/2 hours away,,
so I will still be able to be with them (kids, grandkids and siblings)
on the weekends and will never miss a special occasion..
so that is some what of a comforting...
Yet still a heart renching decision.

Ferris wheel on the beach.. wow..
Never knew you could literally drive on the beach..
just yards away from the water line..
                                                                 Cool,, it think...
Lord only knows what it would be like in the summer..
Im sure there are some very strick laws for safety ..
                                                                        Of course.
Daytona Beach is known for its Daytona Speedway..
there is something that happens to a man
when he hears the roar of multiple car engines..
Here is Tyler(my youngest) and I
                                                              at the Daytona Experience..
                                                                   Beautiful Beach..
Well I am asking for you prayers..
and if you would please ask for Gods will for our decision.
To be totally honest with you,,
I have been praying all along that we would NOT have to move
and that we would not be face with making this decision,
                                                         and yet,,,,, Here we are!!!!!!
Dont know why God does things the way he does...
and dont know what he has in store for us..
But I have to have faith that it is GOOD...

I will be keeping you informed as we go along...

I have been in that exact place and understand what your are feeling. We had three different locations that we were "almost" re-loacted to. After a long period of unemployment, we were open to anything. Even though I didn't want to go, the message I kept getting was "God's much smarter than I". He will prepare the way and your heart.

Faith is the key...and these days a job is a blessing for sure. Our grands live that far away and we still see them a lot. Looks like a fun place for them to come and visit you! ;D

Hi Karen, our daughters both live 7-1/2 hours away from us (fortunately it's only an hour flight); but we don't get to see them as much as I would like (including our one year old granddaughter). I'm glad it's not farther way (they both would like to live in England). So, really 2-1/2 hours sounds great :). I just appreciate any time I can have with them. I pray that God will guide you and your husband and give you peace and direction. Moving is never fun, but if you have to move, I hope it all goes well for you in Daytona.

Been praying and will continue to pray...His ways are truly higher than ours, and I am rejoicing that it isn't a further distance...we make that drive for lunch with my mother-in-law and drive back...if you go it will become a shorter and shorter distance than you imagined.
Blessings on this journey!!

Praying for you and understanding your "pain". I've moved many times with my husband's company and to this day I am far from family. It is hard, but sometimes necessary. If there's anything i can do or if you'd like to talk.. let me know. My email is jill58972@gmail.com
Blessings,
Jill

Karen,Every grandmother who read your post today could empathize with you-including me! My three grandchildren are 7 hours away by car - or a one and a half hour flight.

But if God blesses your husband with a job, well, he will comfort your heart with phone calls, cards, letters and visits. :) God bless you - Marsha Young

By the way, here's a smile for you tid-bit, I have an award for you over at my place. Come and get it when you can!

That is such a hard decision to make but you are on the right thought process. I will definitely keep you in my prayers... that the Lord will give you and your hubby wisdom, discernment and direction. That He will open the right doors and close the wrong ones. That He will confirm each decision you make. ~ God Bless

Praying for wisdom in this decision Karen, as well as finding God's will for your life, which is perfect. We didn't leave, but our children and grand children left, so I can relate about the separation. Lots of hugs going your way.
