Giving up Control

One of the hardest thing for me to do is
Give up Control..
Thinking for even a moment
that I know the right thing to do..

But the good book says:

Proverbs 3:5, 6
Trust in the LORD with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding;

In all your ways acknowledge him,
and he will make your paths straight
.

So that is my prayer today..

Show me the path, and point me in the right way...Lord

Hi my dear sweet friend!
I am so excited by your posting tonight! It (once again ) confirms just what I and my BF were talking about earlier today. I had confessed that my new motto is "whatever" because Daddy has me when it's all right AND when it's all wrong. He leads and I'll move with Him. Thank you for being so faithful and such an amazing person who is open to His calling. You really are inspiring. I love you Girl, have a great evening!
xoxo,
Ellen

I think that is the way to go...He does know the right way and He wants us to be happy...learning to fully trust Him is the right way. :D

Once again, you are writing of things that are pertinent in my life right now. It's amazing to me that I will be thinking of something and I open your blog to find the words I need to hear. Thank you. I hope you and your family are doing well.

Hi Karen,

boy this is a huge topic. I was just discussing this with my ladies from MOPS. I've had a long hard road of learning to let go of control- but it is really freeing the more you can do it and learn to trust God. It seems painful at firts- but so heavenly once you do it :) Really its just fear that keeps us from letting go, don't you think? Fear of the unknown, fear that God won't come thru. Fear of the what-ifs. I am claiming that God has not given us a spirit of fear but of power, love and a sound mind :)Be blessed!

Lovely post! I feel the same way! That is the hardest thing for me to do too!! I know God has plans for me, He had them before I was even put on this earth but it's still hard to let Him be in control sometimes.

Oh, I tagged you in a meme I did on my blog today.

A very hard thing to do!! It is easier to make our own judgements than it is to give it up to the Lord and let Him guide us. It reminds me of learning to float on water...you have to relax and give up the struggle with yourself.

I know I am a few days behind with this particular post. This entry really speaks to me as I am, again, working on giving up control. Christ is in control, not me.

I pray you are well!
