Strengthen our Inner lives..

If we want to live in the Holy Spirit's Power and Strengthen our inner lives,
here are some Truths we must embrace.

Many circumstances are beyond our control.
*Spending emotional energy and time worrying about them
only leads to frustration , despair and bitterness.

Changing another person is " Impossible."
*It a human tendency to turn our attention to others faults.
But if we focus on things we can't change,
we will neglect what we can change- "ourself"

Expressing critical or judgmental words and
thoughts hinder the growth of our character.
*When we are busy verbally or mentally rehearsing
the fault of another, we are not taking responsibility
for our own faults.

We are completely responsible for the woman
we are becoming.
*Life can be very difficult. Bad things happen to all of us,
and all people experience times of trouble or tragedy.
But if we blame people or circumstances for who we are,
we will never grow and become the person God created us to be.

Once we embrace these Truths, what is the next step? We must
take a personal responsibility to strengthen our inner self
by actively pursuing life in the Holy Spirit.

Pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance and gentleness.
Fight to good fight of faith.
1Timothy 6:11.12

Karen...these are good. I'm going to write them down later tonight. I especially liked the last one about we are responsible for the women that we are becoming. :) ): so true...that's why I try and spend daily time reading my Bible and filling my mind with things that honor God etc...because I want to be a godly example to the people around me. Also, I want to be a great godly wife, encourager and friend to the man I marry someday...so I gotta start working on that stuff now :) :) alrighty...gotta run...Dad needs the computer. Thanks for posting these!!! Love and hugs from Oregon, Heather :)

Beautiful post Karen! What a blessing to look to the LORD in EVERY situation and seek to glorify HIM in all we do! Thankfully, HE gives the needed grace. :)

Blessings,

What a wonderful reminder! I too especially like the last one. I had lots of bad things happen in my childhood but I would not be who I am today if I had not endured those things. Thank you so much for sharing this.
