Balance Life ?

Balance ?

Like in this mobile.. if you were to remove
or even change any of the characters , the
balance that this mobile was made with would
not work, even though these characters are
all different, in size and shape,
the designer has made it balance to perfection.
God created us with perfections in mind and
yet we just keep changing our characters on
our mobiles and then wonder why we can not
find balance in our lives.

Well tonight, instead of typing in a though for
my post,, I am looking for your suggestions.

I have been physically sick for the past few days.
"Colitis" has had me down this week. Couldn't
eat for a few day, lost time and work and lots of sleep.
Some times I think God allowed (Not gave !) me to
get Colitis in order to slow me down..
I was diagnosed about 10 yrs ago,
and since then I am learning to try to watch my diet,
calm my "Go Get it done"NOW! attitude,
and trying to give my worries and concerns
over to God..
But I still struggle with balancing my life..
I love my God, family, friend and life some much, that
I some times let it consume me, then you add work,
finances, emotions, and on and on and on, with all that
life brings us, and then i end up bed ridden .

Even though I have so much to celebrate right now
with my husbands new job, my son being shown
so much grace by God with his accident, and the
wonderful news of us becoming grandparents again.
Still I ended up sick..
So I have to think that Im not doing such a good
job of Balancing my life..

So friends.. Tonights post is to ask
your advice,
of what you find works for you ..
Share you secrets with me..
How do you balance all that you do ..
And keep God first, family, and etc, and
keep your self healthy and sane..lol

Cant wait to hear from you..

Karen,
I am so sorry to hear you have not been feeling well. I will be keeping you in my prayers. A friend of mine had colitis and I know how hard it can get.

I think as women it is very hard to balance it all. I too struggle with this at times. I have a type a personality and need to slow down too. some days I feel are flying by way too fast!

You have lots to be thankful for, you are right. Try to take time each day for quiet time, just for you. Nourish your body with good foods, and try to not be everything to everybody all the time. They need and want you in their lives for a long time, only you can make the decision to take care of you and it's so important to do. Pray for strength, he never gives us more than he knows we can handle. :-)

I wish you all the very best, and many blessings.

Jill

Hi Karen...I know one thing and one thing only...I have to make time for daily devotion with God...If I don't do that above all else, then my day is kaputt!!! I know because that's been my experience lately...even my dad has noticed!!! Otherwise, I maybe make a list of six things that need to get done for the day..and I leave everything else up to whatever I want to do that day...including, sometimes, making a list :) :) :)Oh...and sanity...that left my home a long time ago :) :) :) LOL

I'm sorry about the colitis...I have a minor form of colitis called "proctitis" and I started showing symptoms in January 2000 while living in Norway...but wasn't officially diagnosed till that following April...it's been 10.5 years now.

For me at least, food is a real gamble..because one day it's great another day...not so much. A couple of things that have worked for me at least...is trying to eat as organic as I can..although now it's harder...but I try not to buy any processed foods at all..I also make more of my own homemade cleaning supplies. I'm not sure how this contributes to the disease...BUT I notice that I breath easier..literally!!! Plus, I want to be healthy in all areas of life..literally and figuratively!!!

Karen, you have my email...if you ever want to talk about the colitis...please feel free to email me!!! It's not often I run across someone who knows about it :) :)

You are a sweet lady and thanks for extending the hand of friendship towards me and the rest of us ladies !!! I love reading your spiritual insights...what an encouragement. Have a good weekend. Love and hugs from Oregon, Heather :)

Dear Karen ~ How sorry I am to hear that you are struggling with this condition! How precious that you have the LORD through all of this...HE is faithful (as you know), and will see you through each step of the way. Some Scriptures that come to mind for you are ~ Psalm 138:8, Romans 8:28, and Hebrews 12:1-3.

I will pray for you!
Blessings,
Camille

Karen, sorry to hear you are still not feeling well. I wish I could give you some tips right now- but as you know my life is so overwhelemed and I am barely making it through. The only thing I can say that helps me even now- is to have 'open hands' with everything. Everything that you worry about or want to take control of- just imagine holding it in the palm of your hands but totally open to the Lord. That way He can do what He wants with each thing and we don't feel like it's our's to have to carry and manage. Get better soon!

Much love, Chanin

It is not easy but I found that personally what God is trying to teach me is to trust him and let go.Like the saying goes…Pray about everything, worry about nothing .I am going through the process of releasing all my cares to God.One day at a time, remembering that there is much we don’t have control over.
I hope you feel better
Blessings,
Virginia

Thank you ladies for all your sweet and encouraging comments..
I also saw on WOF blog.. Barbara Johnson says..
we should just do our best—and laugh about the rest. I like that idea too. but not always so easy to do..I want to get to the point where like Chanin said in her comment.. just open the palm of your hands, and give it up to the Lord and give up control..

Thanks again my friends.. Have a wonderful Sunday.. God bless you all
