Sitting on the Dock

Five Seagulls are sitting on a dock.
One of them decides to fly away..
How many seagulls are left?
Four??

There are still five..!
Deciding to fly away and actually flying away are two very different things..

There is no power in intentions..

The seagull may intent do fly away..
He may even talk to the other seagulls about his intention
and how wonderful it would be to fly
but until he flaps his wings and takes to the air,
he is still on the dock..

We all have good intentions..
but we must act on them,
otherwise we sit stagnate on the dock
nothing changes..
The day goes on, while we watch it go by,
and talk about what we intended to do .

Today is a gift from God..
Your life at this moment has purpose..
Dont sit on the dock..
Go out and be what God has purposed for you,
whether it is doing something special for your husband,
children, friends.. and person in need..
Spread your wings.. God will direct your path..

What a timely reminder for me. It seems every time I read your blog, you say something I need to hear. Thanks for that!! Take care.

Providence! I was just talking to someone about being a doer instead of a talker (or in my case a thinker :)). This was such a great message! Thank you, sweet friend! And those pictures! Wow! xo

Much love from Angie in Michigan.

That's a good point and so true! We can talk a big talk, but if we don't put our words into actions, our words are small.

Blessings this Saturday morning!
