My Story+God = History (His~Story)

Well I hope everyone had a blessed Easter..
We had a nice time.
This was the first year that I didnt have
any of my little ones in my family around.
My son is too old now :(  for a easter basket, and egg hunting
and we were not able to go back down to
Bradenton for the Holiday..
But all in all , it was a blessed day...

I hope you enjoy my new SPRING look
I was gonna go straight to my Summer look
but figured it wouldnt be nice
since some of my blogging buddies are
still dealing with the snow..
So I decided to wait until June for that.

My girlfriend in Bradenton from our
womans bibles study are starting a new
book called
What Happens when Woman say Yes to God..
and it is very good so far..
And Missy was sweet enough to get me a copy of it too.
Thanks Missy..
I have only gotten through the first couple of chapters
but already it is speaking to me, on a personal level.
So I thought I would share with you one of the statements
that jumped off the page at me...
It may do the same thing to you..

Saying YES begins with you ~ your story.
The one that only you can tell.. If it has some rough patches in it
you can allow them to work FOR YOU, not against you..
You cant change those aspects of your past,
but you can allow God to use them for good.
In fact.. those rough patches may be some of your
BEST QUALIFICATIONS
when it comes to saying YES to God..
Thats because God is in the change and transformation business...
and if he changed your life,,, then you can be sure He wants to use
your story to help change someones elses life...

Gods goal isnt to make us COMFORTABLE...
His goal is to make us
COMFORT~ABLE
able to take the comfort you have recieved and give it to others..

Wow... God has really been speaking to me on a personal
level of my History (His~story)
(His~story~~~How God weaves in and out of our lives)
and what that means to my Future...
That I am meant to share my history in order to comfort others
with
HOPE AND TRANSFORMATION
for womans who are going through rough times..
I dont know who and where I am to do  this yet
but Im sure God does..
I have had a couple of woman that I dont know
respond to comments that i have made on different
web sites, asking me to  pray for them...
So please pray that God will continue to use me
and to strenghten me to offer
encouragment to other..

I dont claim to know all the answers
and I am still waiting on many of my own prayers to be answered..
But I do know a God who does !!!
and I just want to be able to point
hurting woman in the right direction to him..

The older I get, the more I love saying yes to Him. And I have some to love the package I have been given. Our kids were all at the in-laws this year so it was a quiet Easter here..so quiet, it snowed for 2 days! ;D

I think you have found your comfort-able right here in blogland, Karen. There are so many hurting people who need encouragement and prayers. You never know who God will lead to read something you have written. Thank you for allowing the Holy Spirit to lead you, may you continue in what God has called you to do. I for one have been and continue to be blessed by you.
Hugs,
Sue

Oh thanks for sharing, God has been saying those words to me a lot lately...He is writing my story, I need to stop trying to correct and rearrange the story He wants to tell.

Thank you for sharing how
God is working in your life as it allow others to also grow and learn.

Thanks for the heads-up on the book! I'm going to check it out...I just finished "Following God One Yes at a Time" by Connie Cavanaugh. I think the book by Lysa Terkeurst will be a great follow-up! I'm learning to say yes...and everytime I do it is a true blessing! Thanks for sharing.

Living for Him, Joan

You are sharing great things. Blogging is a form of sharing what we know about our savior, another form of reaching out to people! It doesn't matter if we know each other as long as we pray one for the other and trust those prayers are heard.
Many blessing to you my sweet friend. Maybe you can find some of those hose with the line up the back and show them off to your husband! :)
