What Seed are you planting ?

Proverbs 18:21
The tongue has the power of Life and Death..
Matthew 12:33
Make a tree good and its fruit will be good,
or make a tree bad and its fruit will be bad,
for a tree is recognized by its fruit..

Ladie,,
What kind of seed are we sowing in our families..
The scripture tells us that the tongue has the power
of life or death..
Are we encouraging our husbands and children
and grandchildren ?
I learnt a few years ago that  the world is just itching
at the chance to say something bad about
any one and everyone..
And with that in mind,,you will never hear
me say anything negative about my family members..
If there is something that needs to be discussed, it will be done
in private.
Ephesians 4:29
Says Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of
your mouth, but only with is helpful for building others up......
that it may benefit those who listen..

When I look at these two pictures of these trees..
and I envision them as my family..
I dont want it to be because of me thatI have not sowed a seed of
healthy, bright green, flourishing , full lives (trees)
When you plant apples you dont get an orange tree..
so you reap what you sow..
and when you plant one seed,,
God doesnt give you a tree with
one apple..you get 100's and 100's of apples
year after year,, with them having their own
multiple seeds inside each apple..
to be planted and to sow another harvest..

But it takes time,,
you have to sow that seed and tend to it
(pray over them)
and in time you will see new growth.. !!!!

Today is a NEW day
It doesnt matter what you did yesterday
it doesnt matter what you family's
history is..

Look at the line of Dead Trees
now envision that being
you , your spouse and children
it that what you want for their future.
Past is the Past,
But God has given you today,,
and is waiting for us to plant a seed
in our family.
One that will flourish and grow
into this unbelievable HARVEST.
A tree that God and everyone else
will look at and just marvel at its strength and beauty.
As moms and wives,,
God has given us that gift
to plant that seed..
So put a smile on your face,
and start planting..

Well, it is that time of year sister! Digging up weeds . . . fertilizing the soil . . . planting those things we'd like to see bloom . . . it's amazing . . . you know, God's green thumb. It is His Word that fertilizes our faith and builds strong roots. Praying we ALL dig deeper!!!
Love and BIG HUGS!

Seed planting determines what we harvest. But even through bad planting we can reach a good and healthy crop if we persevere with the right nuturing.
Thanks for sharing God's word and your nuturing.

Loved every word of this karen, and oh so true. Dh and I read a chapter in proverbs every day, as we were reading this today we both just stopped and marveled at the truth in this. Wow! We have that kind of power, Awesome. It really makes me stop and think before I speak. My mom always said "if you can't say anything good, don't say anything.'
Thank you for always inspiring me,
Hugs,
Sue

Just goes right with my theme this year, planting and new harvest. Thanks for sharing I need to plant more of the right kind of seed...too easy for me to get stuck in just correction, which can become discouraging, oh my, convicted.

This is beautiful, Karen! Loved every word and the photo's brought it even more to life! So many parallels to being rooted and grounded and firmly planted which remind me of God's work in our lives.
Thank you for your constant encouragement and your gracious heart! You and your words are a beautiful testimony!

Hi Karen,
Planting seeds of kindness . . . it's really not that hard is it? Thanks
for always sharing God's word in your blog.
