Todays Promise...

We cannot have a gentle and quiet spirit if we are anxious.
But as our trust in God grows, we come to understand
that we dont have to change people or make things happen.
Our peace will not depend upon our circumstances
making sense or upon our ability to make things work out.
Rather, We can experience a peace that knows,
"Jesus is in Charge"
and I dont have to be.....

Let your gentleness be evident to all.
The Lord is near..
Do not be anxious about anything.
but in all things,by prayer and petition
with thanksgiving,
 present your request to God.
And the peace of God
which transcends all understanding,
will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus!
Phillipians 4:5~7

This is what I read this morning in my quiet time.
And then I read my Jesus Calling book
and it said this:

Instead of single~mindedly pursuing some goal,
talk with Me about it..
Let the Light of My Presence shine on it,
so that you can see it from My perspective.
If the goal fits MY plans for you,
I will help you reach it...
If it is contrary to MY will for you,
I will gradually change the desires of your heart..
Seek Me first and foremost:
thent he rest of your life will fall into place,,
piece by piece..
1Chronicles 16:11/Matthew 6:33

This was Gods word to me today..
and I am standing on it...
Amen..

I'm standing on this one too! Just this morning I was praying for a double dose of peace concerning much of nothing. Once again you heard Him and echoed His Word for the day... simply amazing! Love you Girl,

Have a great day!

Hi Karen, good words. Phil. 4:5-7 are my favorite verses. Looks like you are doing well and getting settled and now have a new church. God is good.
