Daytona Beach

This week is my son's Spring Break
so we headed to Daytona Beach for the day
(we live about 25 min's north of there)
This is the board walk, that is open all year long
Ferris wheel, bumper cars, lots of carnival rides.

Even though it was breezy yesterday
the beach was still packed..

The Daytona Beach Clock..
very cool..
this is Tyler and I  standing at the bottom.

I love this boy
I love that he will go with me
and have fun..
And that he puts up with all the pictures
I like to take..lol..

We went to Angell & Phelps Chocolate Factory
Yummo :)
We took the factory tour, and watched how they
have made this chocolate for years and years..
During the tour, on a tv screen they had the
episode of  I LOVE LUCY on where
her and Ethel take jobs wrapping chocolates
and the conveyor belt starts moving too
fast and they have to shove all the chocolates
in their mouths to keep up.
I laughed and laughed,,
my son had never seen I LOVE LUCY before
so it was a wonderful step back in time for me..

Look at these little kids
with their faces pressed up against that glass
just taking in all that chocolate sight..
toooo cute...

Then we went to THE CASTMENT HOUSE
which is a historical home owned by
The Rockefeller's.
Very pretty inside,,
and what a job they did on the restoration
and I just loved all the old old pictures.

My son standing outside
The Castment House..

This was taken inside the home.

On the property was a well wheel...
Photo opportunity..lol..

Love this one,,
Black and white with a splash of color...

Well I hope you enjoyed going along with
Tyler and I as we look back  on our
little trip to explore Daytona Beach..

Yes, I did enjoy this trip with you and Tyler! It is wonderful that he wants to spend time with you, that says something about you as a parent , Karen! Relationships are built when they are young!
I would have been like those kids, with my face against the window, especially since I haven't had chocolate lately.lol.
I especially loved the last photo of you.
Thanks for the tour.
Hugs,
Sue
