Give Up.. and Trust Me Anyway......

Give up the illusions that you deserve
                                                         a problem ~ free life..
Part of you is still hungering for the
                                                     resolution of all difficulties.
                                                           This is a false hope!
As I told My disciples, in the world you will have trouble.
Link your hope not to problems solving in this life
but to the promise of an eternity of
                                                 problem ~free life in heaven.

Instead of seeking perfection in this fallen world,
pour your energy into seeking Me,
                                                          The Perfect One.
It is possible to enjoy Me and glorify Me in the midst
                                                       of adverse circumstances.
                                                                    In fact,
My Light shines most brightly through
believers who trust Me in the dark...
That kind of trust is supernatural,
a production  of My indwelling Spririt.

                                                   When things seem all wrong,
                                                    Trust Me anyway.
I am much less interested in right circumstances
than in right reponses to whatever comes your way..
                                                                                         ~ God ~

                                                             John 16:33 / Psalm 112:4-7

Thanks needed this as we are facing so health issues with my husband and my first thought was, "we just got up from the last knock down...please God give us a break" So your words ring true this morning...thanks for sharing! Blessings as you let go and trust!

Karen,
You are so right, that it is an illusion that we deserve a problem-free life; but it is one that our enemy peddles with great success.

That misplaced sense of entitlement is likely what creates so many irritated, and irritable, believers. :) Why, me, why now, why this?

We can choose to be thankful and trustful, because we have a God who deserves both. God bless you - Marsha

LOVE this post sister!!!! It was a great reminder to me today. I am living proof that God shines brightest through our darkest times. AND I've learned to be thankful for those times . . . because without them, I'm not sure I would have found Him. :) So, I've learned to rejoice IN my trials. I've seen God work in His most amazing ways when all hope seemed gone! :)
LOVE to you!!!!!!!!!!!

Thansk Karen :) ) This has been something that my dad and I have been talking about a lot lately. We're going through another difficult season because we're both in between jobs now..but we're choosing to believe God, because His Word is true, and not basing that on circumstances :) :) Thanks for the encouragement. Love and hugs from Oregon, Heather :)

I love these words! Was reading today Ann Voskamp's book One Thousand Gifts in which is expressed how all life is born from dark.

I was thinking too, of the jar of clay. A pitcher was in my mind with cracks and living water was pouring in from God and flowing out the cracks onto the dry ground.

Then the light was in the pitcher and when it (the clay pitcher) broke, it had glorious power!

Blessings!
Kathy
