Seven Deadly Sin #1

As I said in the post before,
our church is doing a series
on The Seven Deadly Sins
Today was Lust..
And here are the Crib Notes
on a very interesting series.
Based on Matt 5: 27~30
Which says even to look
lustful at another person
is as much of a sin as it
is to commit adultery.

We must be careful at
what we allow to be a part
of our lives, and if anything
or anyone can lead us to
the sin of Lust, then we
must remove ourselves
from that situation.

God Is the
Internal Inspection Business
and he know the real you and me....
So turn from anything
that will cause to Lust.
For the wages of sin is Death,
Lust can lead to adultery,
adultery leads not only to
death of our marriage, but
death to our children's view
of what they know as family
Death to trust.
But Sin (Satan) does not have to WIN
You can receive God's Grace!

So that God can say to you....

IM NOT HAPPY ABOUT
WHERE YOU HAVE BEEN,
BUT IM SO GLAD YOUR BACK.
YOU HAVE TURNED AWAY
FROM SIN,
AND I LOVE YOU.

Good and true thoughts here..I think the Lord said to not even look...looking is a betrayal of trust for sure! ;D

So true.... real love is not about what's on the outside. It's getting through the tough times with the good times. The illnesses, the challenges, and when your with your spouse at 92 years old, it all just makes sense what's really important in life. Looks fade...love endures!

Blessings,
Jill

You're still in my prayers for a fast recovery!

Such a good reminder to turn away from all evil... easy to say we will do, but not always easy to do with temptation everywhere. I think keeping this foremost in our minds helps us refocus when we begin to stray... good thoughts for today :)

...love those words. Lust was a recent topic in my church as well. It is interesting, because it does ruin so many marriages and lives if the person who struggles with it doesn't get help.
~Thanks :)

Good warning about a problem that is a plague to society/families/individuals. God does look at the heart. Interested in reading the rest in this series.

You are so right Karen! Lust begins in the heart and all sin springs from the heart. God looks on the heart...might we all have the proper view of what sin really is and deal with it severely! Thank you for sharing what you are learning...it is a blessing!

Have a wonderful weekend!
In Him,
Camille
