Link your hope not to problem solving in this life

but to the promise of an eternity of problem~free life in heaven.

Instead of seeking perfection in this fallen world,

pour your energy into seeking Me:the Perfect One.

It is possible to enjoy Me and glorify Me

in the midst of adverse circumstances.

In fact

My light shines most brightly through believers who trust me

in the dark.

That kind of trust is supernatural

a production of My indwelling Spirit.

When things seem all wrong,

Trust Me Anyway...

I am much less interested in right circumstances

than in right responses to whatever comes your way.

I have been enjoying learning to cook

Gluten Free

and the other day I was watching

Elizabeth Hasselbeck on The Chew

And I just made her

Orange Cream Cupcakes

and

O...M...G

As I am starting to get all the "staples" needed

for GF cooking , things are getting easier..

And thought the cost of flours are a little costly

you dont use a lot of one in a recipe..

And I cant say it enough...

If I could tell you just how GOOD I feel,

(im jumpin up and down right now)

it is soooooo worth it...

Not only are the pretty...

They taste ....Awesome.....

Now just to show that God can use you in any and

all things that you are going through in life

listen to what happened to me yesterday

when i was in the GF isle at Publix..

This young mom (20's)with 2 young kids

and one on her hip..

Came up behind me and was mumbling to herself

about where to start as she looked at the Gluten Free items

and we started talking..

She started telling me about her son (1 yr old)

who cried uncontrollably and she said she just

could not comfort him,and could not keep food down.

They had switched milks,, went through the

list of possibilities of what to do.

And just on a last ditch effort she removed Gluten

from his diet and after 4 days he started

sleeping through the night and playing w/o crying..

When I told her how good I was feeling and

how my mind has never felt clearer in my life.

She looked at me and almost started to cry

she said... I told my husband that my son had

been learning better and paying better attention,

but he didn't believe her.

She thanked me for encouraging her and confirming

to her what she was feeling was correct..

Now only God could of put some one like me,

some one who will talk to just anyone..lol

in an grocery isle with a nervous young mom

who needed to know that what she was doing for her

child was the right thing..

Im so grateful that he used me..

God was sooooo busy in my life last year..

That I cant wait to see what he has in store for me

this year..

"Change"

has been a big word for me last year.

With a move from my home town,

taking me out of my comfort zone.

And it looks like he isnt done yet..

I finally have to acknowlegde my allergy to

Gluten.

So now I am having to learn to "Change" my eating

and my cooking.

Im having to do a lot more home cooking from

more fresh foods,, less processed foods..

Gluten is found any any wheat, oats, barley.

and in so much more,,

even in lotions, make up and shampoo's

so I am having to learn a lot..

I made my first loaf of Gluten free bread the other day..

It was awesome.....

Then it was off to make

Blueberry Muffins.. Yummo !!!

And I have to say...

I feel better than ever !!

True in God Fashion..

he may take some things away from us,,,

but he always replaces it with something better ♥

Well Im excited to learn this new life of Gluten Free

so keep me in your prayers and I will keep you informed

on my progress..

Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers,

for by doing so,

some people have shown hospitality to angels

without knowing.

I heard this scripture read on the radio yesterday.

and I have to say that it hit me hard..

and in the words of Reba on her show..

I said..

Awww Crap !!!!!

I do try to be friendly to all people

but do I do it on purpose?

Do I do it for the Lord?

Have we shown hospitality to the single mom

who is stretched to thin, trying to keep her

head above water.

To your local cashier

who may be struggling with her own issues

and cant seem to crack a smile.

To the widow next door

who has no one to talk to,

no one to hold her hand, laugh with her,

offer an help to bring in the grocerys .

Even to our elderly Walmart Greeter.

Who has lived through so much in his lifetime

yet we dismiss him and rush to get items on our list.

One of the things I want to be better at in 2012

is to Love People on Purpose.

Not because they smile at me first

or they service me in some way..

But just because God asked me toooooooo.

Thats good enought for me..

My Prayer for 2012

I had a God Moment this morning.

You know the ones... where something is said

or you see something and then you

get that feeling of God standing right beside

you and is personally telling you something

or pointing out something to you

and you just cant stop crying,

either in gratitude or in regret,

In the past few years I have friends

or acquaintances send me emails

and or text asking for prayer

for someone they know and love..

Some of these people are Christians,

some are not ..but know that I love the Lord

and how much I rely on him

so they trust me with their request..

This morning one of my customers sent

me a text regarding a family members

coming to the end of their life,

and asked for prayer for her son, who was very

close to this family member.

(now comes that personal message from God)

At that very moment

I was watching Beth Moore on tv

and she said

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

(Beth speaking)

"And God told me

why do you memorize

scripture but not do anything with it."

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

Now here is a little snippet into my head

I have always admired Prayer Warriors.

I always wished I could be as devoted

to going to the Lord with intended

prayers and setting aside time to pray for people.

But

I'm not very good at it.

I always felt like there has to be a

"Method"

and a list of

"How To's "

to be a prayer warrior

But God told me at that moment..

I don't need your Method, I just need you to stand

there and pray for this person

who has entrusted you with their prayer request.

And I started to cry with regret for all the times

I told people that I would pray for them

and I did say a little prayer for them,

but I did not come to God with what they

had entrusted me with..

They have heard me proclaim my love for

God and how much I trusted him with my life,

and that is what they were looking for.

Someone they could trust to go on their behalf

to that Loving God I always talk about..

So I stopped right there and prayed for

my customer and her family

with a truly humble heart.

So my prayer for 2012

Prayer Warrior

Not with rules and regulations,

not with methods and how too's

but with a

Humble and Caring Heart.

Memory's

One of the things I wanted to do this year

was to go through my many boxes of family photos

And it confirmed just how fast time passes

As I looked at picture of my 3 children as they

grew up ,,and amazed at the fact that

I have 3 grandchildren and that I am

blessed to watch them grow as well

I gave Thanks to the Lord...

As I relived all these precious moments of my life..

I opened the box of my parents keep sakes.

Old black and whites, Army awards,

school pictures, marriage license and yes

two death certificates..

My dad ~ Bennie G Turner

A wonderful son, brother, husband and dad..

and he was proud to be all the above,,

My mom ~ Sadie Marie Turner.

A daughter , sister, wife and mother of 5

She was a wonderful and loved every moment of being

and mom and grandma..

This is a picture of their 50th Wedding Anniversary party.

They were married 57 yrs before my dad went to be with the Lord

and my mom 2 yrs later..

I miss them so much..

I have been truly blessed

I have been given the honor to be a

daughter, sister, wife , mother and grandmother

God has blessed me to come from a

wonderful family,

and has blessed me with a precious

family of my own.

I thank him for my box of many memories..

and I am sooooo excited to fill more

boxes of picture and memory's of our lives.

I pray I will never take this life for granted

and that I will always remember that each breath

is a gift, and each moment with my family is

beyond valuable..

There is NOTHING more important in this world

than My God, My Family and my love for them..

Wow

Where did the time go?

As I was reading some of my blogging friends

post about their experiences of this past

year,, it hit me..

Wow

What changes I have been through in 2011

In Feb we moved to Palm Coast Fl

for my husbands employment.

Which meant moving 3 hrs away from everything

I know and love.

From our older children, and 3 precious

grandchildren , my siblings,

life long friends,

our home church of 15 yrs,

all the way down to my favorite waitresses

at my Cracker Barrel..

That is huge for me...I don't like change :(

But I have been astonished and amazed at the

Peace God has given me through all this...

Ive met many new friend,

yet been able to stay in touch with my old friend

I have gotten

involved in a couple of women's bible studies.

The area we live in is just gorgeous

I'm able to go for long walk or bike rides

I'm close enough to the beach that I can go out

and do my yoga in the mornings when I want.

My husbands job is going great.

And God has even allowed me to re~open

my own business here.

So Mom's Helper (school transportation)

just celebrated its 11th year.

Our youngest son is doing great in school

and is involved in a couple of youth groups..

Now the only thing with this move that has not

fallen right into place is a new home church.

We have visited many churches, and liked

parts of all of them, and I have met wonderful

new friend in them..

But no where has felt like HOME yet.

And I have to admit,,,that disturbs me a bit..

It has always been important to me that my

Family be in church !!!

And I don't like being all wishy washy in front

of my child about what church to go to,,

but I just have not felt that....

This is the ONE... feeling yet...

And here is what I think God is trying to teach me..

One day I was in one of the Churches and I felt the

Holy Spirit say to me..

Your making it about the PLACE.. not about GOD !!!

and he is right!

But how do I change that? The one church I did

like, doesn't encourage or hold woman's bible studies.

And that is what I have done for years on years..

The last 2 yrs being a co~leader of a study.

So ..... 2012

Is gonna be an interesting year..

I am so grateful for what God has done for me

and I thank him every day.

It is different than what I am used to

but its a good different.

And I know that God doesn't want to keep

me and my family out of church,

so I know he will either show me THE ONE,

or he will give me peace and comfort in the

one he wants me to be in..

And one last thing..

I have to thank him for not taking me to far

away from my kids, grand kids and siblings..

I can get in my car and be there in time for lunch.

and I love that part..

I have to say I have never been much into

New Year Resolutions

but I am reading the book

The Resolution for Women by Priscilla Shirer

from the authors of The Courageous

and one of the comments that I have highlighted

in my book says:

A fatigued, unhealthy body will not have the

energy to make it through the day.

Skills and mental capabilities that have been dulled

and left unattended will not keep you sharp enough

to be of full use to your family and loved ones,

Therefore, making time for what I call

"Good, Self~Care"

is not luxury

its Necessity

Some of you that have followed me

for a little while have read of my struggles

with Colitis.

I was told years ago that I need to consider

a Gluten free diet..

but now I feel it is a necessity,not a luxury.

So my New Years resolution is as the picture above.

Morning time with the Lord

Eating Good

Christian Yoga ( I ♥ it )

and

Proper Rest.

I plan to be around for my grandchilds wedding

so it is time to start putting myself on the

To Do List

I have done better about it in the past,

but am easy swede to skipping or ignoring

the things i need for me..

so I pray that God will continue to

show me what he wants for me

and to keep me healthy and happy

and with that I can continue to be

The Heart of my Home.

A mothers love is something that no one can explain.

It is made of deep devotion and sacrifice and pain,

it is endless and unselfish and enduring ,

come what may nothing can destroy it or take that

love away.

It is patient and forgiving when all others are

forsaking, and it never fails or falters even

though the heart is breaking.... it believes beyond

believing when the world around condemns ,

it glows with all the beauty of the rarest,

brightest gem...

It is far beyond defining, it defies all explanation,

and it still remains a secret like the mysteries

of creation.. a many splendored miracle man cannot

understand and another wondrous

evidence of Gods tender

guiding hand..

If you are Mother, Grandmother, Big sister , Aunt or Friend

Never underestimate what God has enabled

you to do in someones life. The Love that Woman

have for people in their lives is no accident.

Use that Love God has placed inside of you

to change their lives..

Well it has been a very very busy last two months.

We moved into a new house

barely got the boxes unpacked when it was

time to put up Christmas decorations

and plan for family to come and stay.

Im plum tuckered out !!!

But it was a great time..

Now Im already boxing up Christmas decorations

and feeling the need to have some kinda

normalcy around here..

I am praying that I can get back

to my old self again soon

and will be able to join back

into the blogging world..

I just started a new womans bible study

and once again God is walking through

my life with these kinda studys.

(I just love it when he does that)

(he's kinda awesome , dont you think ?)

The study we are doing is:

I love it when God confirms to me

his longing for my life, via the things in my

life that touch my heart..

This is an awesome book ladies..

A Must Read.

but here is a line that touched me

that I wanted to share with you..

The world bombards us with

Your never gonna be happy philosophy

If your single, you should have a secure marriage

If you married, you should have the freedom of singlelife

If you live in a apartment, you should of have bought a house by now

If you are a homeowner, it should be bigger than the one you have..

WOW !!!!

But God wants us to be

Surprisingly Satisfied !!!

The Surprisingly Satisfied woman is

shockingly noticable to the world.

You notice her because of her peace and serenity,

by her solace and restfulness, by the mysterious sense of

ease that accompanies her.

A woman who has chosen to be satisfied with

what she has, who she is

This woman has CHOSEN to be satisfied

over displeasure

(Then the book as you to pray about this

and then make a new resolution)

Surprisingly Satisified

I do solemly resolve to embrace my current

season of life and will maximize my time in it.

I will resist the urge to hurry through or

circumvent an portion of my journey

but will live with a spirit of

Contentment.

I'm sorry I haven't been around :(

But yes we are moving again !!!!

But only 3 doors down this time :)

When we moved to Palm Coast we found

a very nice neighborhood to move into.

and then God brought a new customer into

my life, who owns a very nice house

3 house down from us..

So when it was time to sign the papers

for her daughter to get service from Moms Helper

i just met her at her rental property.

And I was able to look around at this beautiful home.

So one thing lead to another , and at the end

of this month we are moving in..

WOW..

I'm excited about this new home,

but no one better use the "M" word

with me again for a very very long time..

So I hope that explains why i have been

kinda scares lately..and will only be able to stop

in to visit every once in a while with all the

packing and stuff..but I will keep ya informed

Please don't forget about me....

I think about my blogging friends often

even if i cant get on line to let you know..

Hopefully by the first of the year..

I can get back on a regular schedule and get

back into the blogging world again..

Well as most of you read..

This past weekend was my yearly

Sister Weekend @ Women of Faith Conference.

and boy did we have some fun..

It started off waking up at her home

(my sister Vickie)

with a front porch swing, rooster crowing,

cup of coffee and her famous Scones..

Girlfriend...you should of been there :)

It was so peaceful out there,

we soaked up every moment of it..

Here are some pictures of her beautiful

We started off our weekend with a

early dinner at our traditional restaurant

And boy did we eat..

The food is beyond AWESOME !!

I took pictures and I would show you,,

but it would just make you hungry

so I wont do that to ya..

And then it was off to the conference

Great speakers as always.

and they added two new ones we had never

heard from before..

Wonderful !!!

Then we saw Natalie Grant

And Nicole C Mullens

And in typical Nicole style

She Rocked The House.. woo hooo !!

Saturday after conference my sister

and I went to the movies..

We had promised each other that neither one

of us would see the movie

The Help

until we could see it together.. So that is what we did.

It was soooo good.

And we had some much fun..

Then before I left Sunday morning to head over

to see my kids and grandkids

she had a gift for me

She made me a batch of scones

so I could take some home with me..

I couldnt talk my daughter into getting into

the picture,, but she was on the other side

of the camera..

So I filled up on hugs and kisses

and then it was off the meet my son

We had a great visit..

I dont always get to see him when Im down

cause he works so much, but it was

nice to finally get some one on one time

to spend with him..

Well it was an Awesome weekend..

and we had such a great time,

and already scheduling next years event..

How ya doing at protecting your family ?

A few years ago, I was reading a book

by Kelly Copeland about protecting our families.

And it has created a new habit in me.

Im not as faithful to do it, as I would like to proclaim

but I will say that I do it 5 out of 7 days a week.

And some times more than once a day..

In the morning when our alarm clock goes off,

and my husband reaches over and hits

the snooze button..

That is my time to pray over my family.

Its quiet, no one to interrupt me,

the days events have not yet begun

so between alarms is my prayer time over my family.

In my mind

I line up my family members

and I draw a big red circle around them

just like the picture above..

Im sure you all know the

story of the

Passover

but have you connected it with

your belief that God is the same

today,yesterday and tomorrow..

His promise was not just for that

day in Egypt

In Exodus 12:23

(23)He will see the blood on the top

and sides on the doorway,

and he will not permit the

destroyer to enter you house

and strike you down.

(24) Obey these instructions as a

lasting ordinance for you and your

descendants.

The way Kelly Copeland explains it

in her book is quite interesting.

Envision a court room and the

accused is asked to tell the judge how he pleads.

Jesus died on the cross to cover our sins

with his blood.

And that act brought righteousness.

So when we Plead the Blood of Jesus

over our family's..

guilty or not...

we are covered by Jesus blood,

he paid the price for us,

so we cast our plea

under Jesus's righteousness,

not our own guilt .

Start a new habit for you and your

family today..

When you pray over them..

Put them all under one roof and

encircle them with the blood of Jesus.

and say

In the name ofour Lord Jesus Christ

I plead the blood of Jesus over my family

send a charge of angels concerning

each of them, to protect them

and guide their steps through out their day.

Lord I stand on your promise today.

Amen.

Well I am off for a weekend with my sister.

Every year we go to the

Guarding Against Infidelity

You could be in your 20's and married for a month

in your 70's and married for 50 yrs

yet we still need to be aware and on

guard to protect our marriages from

infidelty.

Satan is out there, and it seems that

he is doing a pretty good job of destroying

even the best of marriages..

I was listening to my pastor in Bradenton sermon,

the series is called

Taking back the Home.

I loved the suggestions of

boundaries he spoke of,

and I wanted to share them with you.

Now I feel that I can speak to you about infidelity,

since it has touched my marriage and family.

When my husband and I split up years ago,

I was not faithful to him, our marriage or to God.

BUT

God has forgiven me of my sins,

and has now allowed me to share with others

my mistakes and regrets..

And has given my beauty for ashes

Replaced my tears of mourning and guilt

with a grateful heart

and has restored my marriage and my family..

Wooooo Hooooo.

I wish I could say that if I would of

known these boundaries before

I would not of strayed..

But that is not true.

I knew right from wrong,but I listened

to the whisperings of Satan instead of

doing what I knew was right.

So I have no excuse.

But since God has shown me Grace,

and has given me a second chance

at restoring my family, I am a firm

believer in boundaries..

So please allow me to share these with you.

Be where you are suppose to be

Dont allow yourself to be in circumstances

that might lead you or your spouse into temptation.

You know what your weaknesses are,

but more important Satan knows your weaknesses

and will play them against you.

So dont give him the oppurtunity.

Recommit to your loved one

Your spouse, your marriage, your family, your trust in God

is important enough to work through the hard times.

Dont through your hands up in the air

and walk away from it all.

Recommit to your loved ones, Unconditionally

Give your concerns over to God,

and watch what he will do.

Dont expect your spouse to settle

Dont think that just because he has a ring on his finger

that he should settle..

Dont think that a marriage license will

keep him in that warm fuzzy feeling of love..

Treat him with respect and honor.

Keep the home fires burning.

Never let him doubt even in hard time

that he is no longer your hero,

and let him know that

you love him as much today as the day you got married..

And always remember ...

no matter how old we are, how long we have been married

there will always be

some one waiting on the sidelines to swoop in

and whisper sweet nothings in their ear,

the moment satan see's an oppurtinity.

So make sure that you are both keeping proper boundaries

in this world when it comes to the people of the oppisite sex

Here are a few:

Never go alone with anyone of the opposite sex,

unless they are in your family.

Its not that you we are that weak

it it is that Satan in that powerful.

Rumors start.

You may not think anything of it, but the other person may.

It is a position that can easily be avoided.

Dont do meeting or go to lunch alone

alone with someone of the opposite sex.

Pretty much for the same reasons above..

Meetings are to remain in the office,

and they are a big girl/boy and can

go to lunch on their own.

Just dont open a door or oppurtunity,

no matter how innocent it is intended to be.

Find a accountability partner

Find a Godly friend (of the same sex) and let them

know that you require them to tell you the truth about

what they see, looking in from the outside.

Require them to hold your feet to the fire.

and to remind you to look at situations from the eyes of God.

Honor God

God has blessed you with your marriage .

And you stood before God and entered into a covenent of 3

God ~your spouse~you.

Infidelity ALWAYS scares..

You not only hurt your spouse, but your family

and always hurt and dishonor God and what he has given you.

Talk to your spouse tonight.

Set us boundaries

Be commited to stand by those boundaries

for your God

for your marriage

for your children

for the sake of your family.

Look at the state of the world today

and that alone should encourage you and your loved one

to recommit to each other,set up boundaries that will

protect your marriage and your family.

And God will bless you for standing on his word.

I didnt mean to...

Well I didnt mean to re~do my blog again

But this morning when I went on to add a new post

I hit a wrong button and then couldnt back out of it..

And now,, I have spent my entire morning

correcting my boo boo,,

And now I dont feel like making a post..lol

No its ok..

I actually like the way it turned out..

Go figure..

So as in Gods usual fashion,

He took something Satan took to

mess up my good mood this morning

and turned it into something pretty and encouraging.

HA HA Chump !

I love it when God does that..

Our visit with Breleigh Marie.. (aka) Sassy Pants Marie

Let me introduce you to my grand daughter

Breleigh

(pronounced Bree~lee)

She came to visit us from

last Wed till today Sat.

And we played every minute of it..

The first morning we started out strong with a Tea Party..

Then on to crafts..

Making Fall crafts to take home to momma..

Then it was off for a bike ride.

She would ride her bike in front of me,,

and just laugh and laugh when I would

make a big deal about her cutting me off...lol

Now comes her favorite..

Being in the kitchen with Grandma..

My daughter Amanda ~ Breleighs mom

made us these matching aprons..

I love this picture..

We crack ourselves up...lol

Then you know me

it was off to the beach..

We had lots of fun there.

We planed to go with Pa

(grandpa)

the next night,but we got rained out.

Time to go fishin

Pa bought her a

Pink Princess Fishin Pole...

Here is her and Pa

We were there about 5 minutes

and Breleigh caught her first fish.

Grandma was so proud of her...

She named him

Blue Crab Snapper..

It was a great visit..

Im worn out..

( I will let you in on a little secret)

Im not as young as I used to be..

and Im flat dab tired..

But it was work every minute of it..

I love being with my family

They are truly a gift from God..

and I Thank Him for them

Every Day..

Date Night

I told my husband last week..

Honey you plan date night this week.

What ever you want to do or go..that is where we will go..

So come Thursday..he said.. I found a place in Daytona that

I wanted to take you to for dinner.. but he wouldnt tell me

any more about it..

So Friday night I met him at the office and we went to.

This place was so cool

The inside was designed to look like you

were under the sea.

Every thing neon colors..

Very cool.

It was loaded with yachets everywhere..

yet the crowd was from every walk of life..

I like that..

This was the counters in the womans bathroom

glass tops with neon little circles to look like

water bubbles rising to the surface.

The walls in the hall way were painted with

something like black light paint or something.

It made it look like the wild life was coming

right out at you..

Again very cool..

I took this picture from the end of the dock.

We sat out side to eat.

There was a live band playing old rock

and the breeze was just awesome..

It was a very nice night

and a great surprise..

Even the menu's lite up.

How cool is that?

Honey you did a great job at

Tips for a Balance Life

This is a subject that has probably always

baffled me..

I am what is known as a People Pleaser.

Now I have to say that , God has worked with

me so that I am not as over the top as I used

to be..

(Thank you Lord)

but I still strive for a balance to time

and the people in my life..

Now God has taught me that it is not only

allowed but necessary that I have some

alone time with him and for myself.

And when I make that happen.

I truly enjoy it.

But like most of you, I'm sure..

Life seems to get in the way of that..

So what I am looking for from you ladies

is some of your own

From Disney to Savannah...

Managers Weekend..My husbands work features a

Managers weekend for the managers and their wives

as a Thank You to them for all their hard

work throughout the year,and also encludes

a little motivational meeting to pump

them up for the following year.

This year it was held at

Disneys Board Walk Resort..

While the men were at their morning

meeting Friday,the wives had a little fun of our own

We had a nice brunch, and played a few games

that came with some very nice gifts..

It was a good time and all the other wives

were very friendly..

After both were over, we were free to

go and enjoy Disney for the rest of the weekend..

Which we did..

We went to one of our favorite disney hang outs

Great food, and fun time.

Just look how tropical even their bathrooms are

Beautiful

Afterwards we headed back to the resort to enjoy

their hospitality.

So them we started planning our next days

events.. when my husband came up with

a great idea..

It went something like this..

We could pick a Disney park to visit

on Saturday and stand in long, long lines

in 98(+) degrees all day

or....

We could leave Saturday morning

swing by the house and pick up Tyler

(our youngest son)

and head to.......

Awwww. Yea.....

The home of, you guessed it..

Mrs. Paula Deen

We got their and made reservations for dinner

then we went walking around and took

in all the historical sites we could ..

And then it was dinner time.

Here we go....

OMG

Chosen Perspective..

Ladies..

I have got to tell you a little bit of about

how Grateful I am to God for giving me a

new perspective on my life over the last couple

of years..

God gave me the word

Choice

one day and to some of you,,

this may sound a bit strange..

but my personality

back then could not comprehend that word..

I am what is know as a People Pleaser..

Never wanting to hurt anyones feelings,

disappoint them, and dont like saying NO

to anyone, in fear that they would be upset..

And just let me tell you....

that is a big job to fill.

I have spent the majority of my adult life

trying to make everyone elses life

go just perfect..

(ok, Im a little bit of a perfectist tooooo)

But in that, it caused such turmoil inside of me..

And I beleive the result of that has manifested

into my Colitis..

Always worried about what other

people thought, felt and needed..

And never giving one ounce of concern for myself..

So then I would get fed up, and become

rebellious..

Going from one extreme to the other..

Now not only was my actions improper, but

now I worried about what people thought of my

bad choices and actions...

(Gosh, it was a never ending battle )

~ BUT ~

Then God gave me

A NEW PERSPECTIVE.

(woooo hoooo )

A NEW OUTLOOK

he showed me that I can

CHOOSE.

Now..

dont get me wrong

I still love to make people happy,

I enjoy seeing others enjoy their lives.

But I NO longer feel responcible for their happiness

nor are they for MINE..

~ Example ~

I used to depend on my husband to make me happy..

and I wouldnt go and do anything without him..

Which was a problem, because I am very outgoing and social person !!!

He enjoys being home with this family and that is all he needs...

I need people and stimulations..

I love the beach,,he hates the beach..

So for years..I just chose not to go to the beach very often

because i didnt want to go alone..

But God has shown me that I should

not put the expectations on anyone

to bring me happiness..

If I find peace and enjoyment at the beach..

Then Go !

But dont put that obligation on my husband

who doesnt enjoy it..

I enjoy being around people, so now

I have joined more womans bible studies

to get that simulations and conversation

with fellowshipping, rather

than making my husband do something

that he is less than comfortable doing..

And one last point.....

Remember those bad choice and actions I spoke

of earlier..

I allowed Satan to shame and guilt me

into wearing those Choices I made as

a label..

But God gave me Beauty for Ashes..

And showed me how I am a Concuier

and Victor.

As Lysa TerKeurst puts it

Let the Messiah take our Mess

and turn it into his Message..

God has blessed me with the

gift of gab..

and with that a gift also a drawing for

women to reach out and talk to me

about their choices in life without feeling

judged...

And I feel so blessed for that..

God has shown me that

he gives us many many Choices..

Good , Happy Choices..

John 10:10

The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy;

I have come that they may have life,

and have it to the full.

So I Choose To:

Happy, Joyful,

Comforted and Content

Grateful, Redemed,Loving

Encouraging,Gracious

and

Free to Be Me

(at a beach somewhere, lol )

But Loving the New Me that God has

Made..

And I am so much better for my family

and friends for it..

At the end of the day

Are you happy with your Choices

and your perspective of life?

Choose

to be free from guilt and condemation

and

Choose to be a chosen vessel

of the Lord..

Out of respect for Christ, be courteously reverent to one another.

Wives, understand and support your husbands in ways that show your support for Christ. The husband provides leadership to his wife the way Christ does to his church, not by domineering but by cherishing. So just as the church submits to Christ as he exercises such leadership,

wives should likewise submit to their husbands.

The Number One need of a man is:

Honor

Eph 5 tells us to honor our husbands

as if "to the Lord"

even if your husband is not acting

"Lordly" (lol)

His actions are not your responsibility..

We are directed by the scriptures as wives

how we are to act..

We should never compare our husbands by other people in our lives

or even worse by what you see on television.

(which thrives on disrespect and demeaning)

Allow your husband to be human.

We are an equals , in our relationships

and you have every right to voice your opinion in LOVE.

But remember that your husband is NOT GOD.

He is Human,

he had needs, desires, feeling,

worries, concerns and is sometimes just bogged

down the the world and its demands.

Gen 2:18

The LORD God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone.

I will make a helper suitable for him

God design for us is to come to him in prayer for our husbands.

We are to be his Helper.

What better way to help our husband than

to go to the father in love for the them..

And who knows him better than the wife who God make suitable for him..

We are to partner with the Holy Spirit in Prayer for our husbands

and show him Love and Honor.

We will not always agree with our husbands

on everything he says and does..

(just as they will not always agree with us )

But allow him to be Human.

Trust in Gods Plan for our lives.

Come to the Lord in Prayer for your

Husband and for your Marriages.

And partner with the Holy Spirit

(the original Helper)

to honor your marriage covenant..

Ladies..

dont forget that our grown boys

desire Honor as well..

As their mothers let us show them

honor in example of how one day

their Helper(wife) will also honor them.

A day with my hubby and a 1/2 of a cow...

Yes, the title is right..

My husbands work, offers thier employees a

great deal on cattle that they raise..

they sell it for like $2 per pound..

so we purchased a 1/2 of a cow,,,

So we got up this morning and drove

about 2 hours away for our beef...

The trip was very nice..

John works long hours at his job, so a couple

of hours on the road together was nice..

We got to talk , joke around an laugh a bit..

The land we passed on our way up was beautiful..

Here is a horse farm..

And yes.. dont adjust your eyes..

this ole barn is leaning..big time...

When we got to the butcher..

I had the most fun watching this cute little cat..

He was laying under this tree , and one bird

just kept swooping down and pecking him on the butt..

in this picture he is meowing at the bird..

he came over and let me pet him....

How cute is he...

look at all those boots lined up,,,

just ready to go to work...

I heard a rooster crow..

( I love Roosters )

I have never lived in a place where i could have one

but I do love them,

so i got out and started following his call

And just about the time I spotted the rooster

I heard a snorting noise coming at me...

and look what was coming at me...

this huge but cute piggy...

He was disappointed though..

He thought I had a treat for him.. :(

Lots of Corn field...

As we heading home..

There are lots of fires going on right now around here

and one road got reallllll smokey..

and the smell was terrible..

I feel sorry for the people who live around there..

Well we loaded up..

the butcher cut us up, Roast, Steaks, ground beef,

cube steaks.. etc...

It was a fun and productive day..

And now Im off to marinade a couple of steaks for dinner..

Well as you know,

Almost 4 months ago,

me, my husband and our youngest son

moved to Palm Coast..

We had been back to Bradenton to visit our older

children and grand children that still reside there,

but my daughter Amanda and the grand kids

came to Palm Coast to spend a few days with us..

It was awesome... :)

we had a great time walking around the shops at the beach

My youngest son Tyler playing with Mason..

We waited for the sun to start going down and then we
took a walk along the beach..

Mason wasn't quite sure about the rushing water on his feet..

The next day we headed to Daytona Beach..
and of course we couldn't just walk by
this water fountain and not let the kids play..
Who needs bathing suits..
Live in the Moment...

Again.. Mason wasnt sure about the water..
but he is such a good little boy,,he never fussed...

Gotta love that Smile....

He looks like he is saying:
Ok Grandma.. can we stop with the picture taking..lol

He is such a happy camper in the morning..
I will miss his smile in the morning
when they go home..

How often do we find it so easy
to get mad, say something mean,
fly off the handle
with our spouse or children.
We would never act like that at work,
or at a lunch with our girlfriends.
But to the people that love us
and that we love so dearly
we get comfortable and can let that
for granted..
But in the end.. our family
will be there with us,
when our co workers and friends
will go on about their own lives.

Lets take this time to realize
that our family deserves to

Blue Crab Festival..in Palatka Florida

Well we started off our Memorial Day weekend off
by going to the
Blue Crab Festival in a near by town..

Look at all that Crab...
Yummo !!!!

Ok ,, they had camel rides..
I had to do it..
For a lot of years,,, I would just
look at people having a good time
but from a far..
Now over the past couple
of years , I have decided to
Live Life...
So I rode a Camel..lol

Isnt my camel cute ?
For a camel , anyway..

I thought this sign was so cute..
It was about 92* today..
So shade was very much welcomed
and Free is good...lol

I dont know this kids..but boy was they having fun..
Love the hats..

Here is my handsome youngest son..
He is head set on going into the Air Force
against his mothers wishes..
but he wanted to ride the
helicopter...
So he and I rode the helicopter..
Live Life...

And Off we Go....

He was very excited..
ok,, you cant tell it in the picture..lol
but he waited in line in the hot hot sun
for over an hour to ride it..

On our way home we stopped by my husbands office

Sitting on the Dock

Five Seagulls are sitting on a dock.
One of them decides to fly away..
How many seagulls are left?
Four??

There are still five..!
Deciding to fly away and actually flying away are two very different things..

There is no power in intentions..

The seagull may intent do fly away..
He may even talk to the other seagulls about his intention
and how wonderful it would be to fly
but until he flaps his wings and takes to the air,
he is still on the dock..

We all have good intentions..
but we must act on them,
otherwise we sit stagnate on the dock
nothing changes..
The day goes on, while we watch it go by,
and talk about what we intended to do .

Today is a gift from God..
Your life at this moment has purpose..
Dont sit on the dock..
Go out and be what God has purposed for you,
whether it is doing something special for your husband,
children, friends.. and person in need..
Spread your wings.. God will direct your path..

I am a beach girl..
I love the beach in the morning
my quiet time with the Lord..
{love doing my yoga just this side of the waves}
I love a tan
{Yes, I use sunscreen)
I love to put my tennis shoes on and head set and walk for miles
for exercise and
I love the beach at sunset..
Yep.. Im a beach girl

So I just couldnt wait to change my

My Mothers Day

Well Ladies I trust that you all had a wonderful

Mothers Day..

We headed out Thursday afternoon for Bradenton

and had a wonderful time..

It was a packed full of events.

I had a lunch date scheduled with a friend

as well as a breakfast scheduled with another friend.

Breleigh's birthday party was on Saturday and

Mothers Day on Sunday..

Saturday, I took my two grand daughters

Chloe and Breleigh

and we went and took some photos..

that way I got pictures and my daughter

would have a couple of hours to get some

last minutes details done for the party..

The girls and I had a great time..

And then I captured some good pictures of Mason

our newest grand baby

oh it was a weekend filled with hugs and kisses..

We had planned for all my children to be able to go

with us to our home church that Sunday for Mothers Day

but my oldest son Wesley had to be at work at noon,

and he works out on the island,,so it takes a while to get out there..

and my daughter Amanda had to take Chloe back

to her moms house to celebrate Mothers Day.

(Chloe is Amanda's step daughter)

so family church didnt work out ,,but John and Tyler and I went

it was great to be back..

Well Ladies..

I know I have not been around much lately

with the move and all..

it has been hard to find time to blog,,

but I promise,,

Next week I will be back !!!!

I am making crafts for a Craft Fair

my church is having this weekend..

and after that I am going to start a new look to my blog as well

I have always loved Candace Cameron
and who doesnt just love her brother and their love
for the Lord..

Well how cute does she look on this photo..
I dont know about you but
I have to deal with food choices all day every day
not always due to an over weight issue,
but 50 is a couple years away and things are not where they used to be
if you know what i mean..lol
but mostly for me, my food choices
are based on me being diagnoised
with Colitis 10 yrs ago.
And as my daughter says , my list of foods
i can eat is getting smaller that the list of
foods I cant eat :(
But that doesnt make me want them or crave them
any less.. to learning some new tricks
of how God wants me to deal with those cravings
has to be good..

My Story+God = History (His~Story)

Well I hope everyone had a blessed Easter..
We had a nice time.
This was the first year that I didnt have
any of my little ones in my family around.
My son is too old now :( for a easter basket,and egg hunting
and we were not able to go back down to
Bradenton for the Holiday..
But all in all , it was a blessed day...

I hope you enjoy my new SPRING look
I was gonna go straight to my Summer look
but figured it wouldnt be nice
since some of my blogging buddies are
still dealing with the snow..
So I decided to wait until June for that.

My girlfriend in Bradenton from our
womans bibles study are starting a new
book called
What Happens when Woman say Yes to God..
and it is very good so far..
And Missy was sweet enough to get me a copy of it too.
Thanks Missy..
I have only gotten through the first couple of chapters
but already it is speaking to me, on a personal level.
So I thought I would share with you one of the statements
that jumped off the page at me...
It may do the same thing to you..

Saying YES begins with you ~ your story.
The one that only you can tell.. If it has some rough patches in it
you can allow them to work FOR YOU, not against you..
You cant change those aspects of your past,
but you can allow God to use them for good.
In fact.. those rough patches may be some of your
BEST QUALIFICATIONS
when it comes to saying YES to God..
Thats because God is in the change and transformation business...
and if he changed your life,,, then you can be sure He wants to use
your story to help change someones elses life...

Gods goal isnt to make us COMFORTABLE...
His goal is to make us
COMFORT~ABLE
able to take the comfort you have recieved and give it to others..

Wow... God has really been speaking to me on a personal
level of my History (His~story)
(His~story~~~How God weaves in and out of our lives)
and what that means to my Future...
That I am meant to share my history in order to comfort others
with
HOPE AND TRANSFORMATION
for womans who are going through rough times..
I dont know who and where I am to do this yet
but Im sure God does..
I have had a couple of woman that I dont know
respond to comments that i have made on different
web sites, asking me to pray for them...
So please pray that God will continue to use me
and to strenghten me to offer
encouragment to other..

I dont claim to know all the answers
and I am still waiting on many of my own prayers to be answered..
But I do know a God who does !!!
and I just want to be able to point
hurting woman in the right direction to him..

My family and I watched Passion of the Christ the other night..
As I was watching the movie I could relate to both Mary's..
Mother , Mary,, because she loved her son so much, and even
though she knew he had to go through this, she so much wanted
to run to him and spare him from the pain..
As a mother,, she of all woman had the toughest job as a mom than
any one could ever go through..

But I have to say ,, I mostly related to Mary Magdaline..

She is a woman who was forgiven much..
She had believed the lie Satan told her,
and she allowed what other people said about her
keep her in bondage,
but when she was truly forgiven by Jesus
she knew what real love was.
She got up and walked away from sin...
And never looked back..

We all have sinned, no matter what the sin is,
it doesnt have to be adultry,
it can be anything,,sin is sin to God
But the world and Satan will try
to keep us in bondage by piling on the
shame and guilt..
And Satan uses the people of the world
to constantly remind us of our sins,
in order to keep us in bondage..

For years I lived in that bondage,,
Feeling... Who am I to speak of God
I have not always lived a Godly life..
Who would listen,
everyone will mock and turn their nose up to me..
But when I REALIZED
that I had been truly forgiven,
the words of the world meant much less to me..
It was the peace that God gave me to
over come that bondage.
And I am Free in Christ.

Satan has been putting woman in bondage
since the beginning of time.
Starting with Eve and putting
that doubt in her mind.
And then when she and Adam sinned
Satan was the first to remind them
and gave them guilt and shame..
So they hid from God..
As most of us do when we feel unworthy..
But I am here to say that
I am Proud to be a Mary Magdaline..
she was forgiven of many sins
and she felt the True love of Christ
and she followed him to the end..
As will I......

Therefore I tell you, her sins, many [as they are],
are forgiven her--
because she has loved much.
But he who is forgiven little loves little.
And He said to her,
Your sins are forgiven!
Luke 7:47

Are you the Heart of your Home..

Ladies..
Lately God has been tapping on my heart
about the importance and
privilege of the gift of
being the
Heart of the Home..
For years I have used this
phase to describe me and
other woman,
but I have not always practiced
what I preatched..
But that was then ,,this is Now..
I have been made a new creature in Christ..
And I truly want to
live it..
And I feel the drawing to
express this gift that God has
given us to younger
woman that are newly married..

The ways of the world today is beyond scary...

Marriage is just a signature away from divorce..
Children are looked at as a deductible.
Not our future..
And the world takes NO pride and No value
in Families these days..
The relationship between children and parents
are being replace and with tv and video games..
Seriously , how much time is our children spending
in the living room or kitchen with us..
Satan has been attacking woman since
the beginning of time.
And I believe he is still strong on the
war path ..
If he can effect the Heart of the Home
he can stop the heart beat,
with us
being too busy..
being too involved in everything else other than family
moving our focus on work, and others
rather than our spouse and children
that God designed and entrusted to us..
I could go on and on..

I dont think there is a quick and easy answer
to this problem,,
But I am going to do whatever
it takes to be the
Heart of my Home
and to show my family
that their value is more important
to me, than anything the world
has to offer..

I hope that you will join me
in this fight against Satan
to bring back the
Value of Family
and take pride in being the
Heart of YOUR Home...

Ladies,
If you read my last post, you will see that
I was asking and praying for guidance,
I was saying that I didnt know what Gods
plans were for me here..
Well the above statement was the
title of my devotion this morning..
(I love it when God talks to me through anything and everything)
here is the rest of my devotion..

Concentrate on doing your everyday tasks
in awareness of My Presence with you.
The Joy of My Presence will shine on you,
as you do everything for Me.
Thus you invite Me into every aspect of
your life. Through collaborating with me in all
things, you allow My Life to merge with your.
This is the secret not only to joyful living,
but also of victorious living,
I designed you to depend on Me moment by moment,
recognizing that apart from Me you can do nothing.
Be thankful for quiet days, when nothing special
seems to be happening.
Instead of being bored by the lack of action,
use times of routine to seek My face,
Although this is an invisible transaction,
it speaks volumes in spiritual realms.
Moreover, you are richly blessed when
you walk trustingly with Me through the
routine of your day..

Good Morning

Good Morning Ladies..
As I took my son to school this morning
these pictures are the view we saw..
The sun was coming up,
Good Morning Lord..

My camera didnt quite capture
the steam that comes off the water
of the ponds we pass on the way to his school..

But it is a wonderful view
and what a great reminder that
Gods Mercy is New every morning..

God has been so good to us..
and there are so many positives to this move..
My husband is doing just wonderful in his job.
Tyler is doing great at his new school,
and even has a sweet little girlfriend..
We have met some wonderful people
in the church we have started going to.

But I am still feeling detached..
Like this picture, I am the twig on this branch,
and God is big and beautiful and very present
but I feel so far away..
I dont do well with the Not Knowing..
I dont know what God purpose is here for Me,,
Im not working, but will need to get a job in the next
month or so.
I dont know what to look for.
Im a little fearful, of the future..
My youngest son just turned 15
and so much of my life is entwinded
with him. What do I do when the
Empty Nest hits me,,
Im not nor have I ever wanted to be
a carrier woman..
I love people, and I love
encouraging woman to be good
moms and wives,,
but that doesnt pay the bills..
So I ask for your prayers,,
I ask that God will show me his will for me.
and comfort my heart and mind
till he is ready to place
me where he wants me to do his work..
